Jumbo, the Multi-talented Gospel recording artist and producer of the freshly inspired “Bigger Than” learned to play the flute and harmonica at the tender age of 7 under the tutelage of his father. Through continual practice he learned to harness his musical creativity and physical tenacity. An attribute that yielded much fruit as the only son to a family of four children. As time progressed he added the piano and trumpets to his repertoire.
His influences are varied and wide ranging from the classical soul musicianship in funk, soul, gospel to Jazz music which he deems his favorite and all of which are amongst his general inspirations.
As a Christ follower first and an artist second, all inspiration and breath to create comes from his innate desire to serve God and be a blessing to the peoples of God. Out of this deep desire we get his latest offering. The aptly titled “Bigger Than” an ode to a comforting characteristic of God. Proclaiming aptly that “His” God is indeed more influential than any circumstance presented in the life of any person.
A gospel artist, producer, Choir director with bold and general appeal, Jumbo has shared platforms with prominent and talented artists such as Donnie McClurkin, Pastor Paul Irabor, Nigerian multi award winners Asa, Yinka Davies, Dara, Tahila Praise, “How Sweet The Sound” winners Jesus House DC Choir, Victory Temples “Tribe of Judah”, Newbreed international’s “Voice of Worship” and many more.
In Jumbo’s life, Gospel music is not just performance outlet but it’s a vehicle to be a blessing
